Excellent trekking such as Makalu Kanchenjunga Trek is fit for all age groups trekkers who have lack time for Kanchenjunga or Makalu base camp trekking. This trek required just two week holidays, but we arranged as per travellers/trekkers’ wish and holiday frame.
As we know, Makalu Kanchenjunga Trek (Lower Makalu to lower Kanchenjunga with tea garden) is a non-touristy trekking trail in this region. This trekking offers superb Himalayan views, including Mount Kanchenjunga, Makalu Mt. Kumvakarna/Jannu Himal, Nepal Peak, etc. In addition, you will enjoy different cultures while trekking in a rural part of the country. This trip trek is a long and high forest ridge that divides the Arun(from Makalu glacier river) and Tamur(Kanchanjunga glacier river) valley in eastern Nepal.
Makalu Kanchenjunga Trek begins at Tumlingtar flight or after a 13-14 hours drive from Kathmandu. We recommend travellers at least two days overland journeys or by flight. The trekkers spent one overnight at Dharan bazaar and 2nd overnight at Chainpur our guide led us through beautiful villages of Sawa Pokhari, Gupha Pokhari, Milke danda Dovan and finally reached Taplejung then drove to the famous tea garden then go to the lower part of country Jhapa and fly back to Kathmandu or take a night bus or day bus to Kathmandu. Trekking in this offers the best views of the world’s third-highest mountain, Kanchenjunga 8586m, the world’s 7th highest mountain, Makalu 8463m and different Himalayan picks. Trekkers enjoy vast forests of rhododendrons along the ridge. Milke danda trekking is less touristy and restricted trails of the Kanchenjunga trekking region.
