We begin a tour with Kathmandu Sightseeing, where we will explore some of the world-famous Buddhist sites. We mainly see the Bauddhanath (one of the oldest and largest Buddhist Monastery), Swayambhunath (also known as The Monkey Temple), and Kapan Monastery (The centre of Buddhist Philosophy and teachings). We then drive to the famous Buddhist place Namobuddha outside Kathmandu valley and spend an additional day there for Buddhist Meditation, followed by a trip to Lumbini.
In Lumbini, we explore monasteries built by various countries of the world. However, most important is the Maya Devi Temple, which possesses the stone having the footprints of Buddha. The south of the temple is the pool where Queen Maya Devi is said to have bathed and given her son Gautam (Buddha) his first purification bath. Sacred Garden, Asoka Pillar, and Monastery Zone are other highlights of Lumbini.
